As an Acadia elopement photographer, I help you build a day that reflects your relationship and lets you truly experience Acadia together.
Kylee and Luke shared during our very first planning call that their dream wedding day included two things they couldn’t imagine being without: an intimate ceremony along Acadia’s rocky coastline and the presence of their closest loved ones. Every time they pictured saying their vows, their family was part of that vision.
Throughout the planning process, we focused on creating a day that felt intentional and true to them which meant finding the perfect balance between meaningful moments shared with family and quiet moments reserved just for the two of them. Together, we planned a timeline that allowed their loved ones to be fully present while still protecting the intimate, adventurous experience they had always envisioned for their Acadia National Park wedding.
One of the most important moments Kylee and Luke wanted to share was a first look and private vows. This took the stress of vows in front of their guests and gave them the privacy they pictured for their Acadia elopement. We stopped along Ocean Drive before their ceremony location and found a spot that spoke to them. They got to feel all of their emotions when speaking their vows to each other without the pressure of people around.
You can opt to ride in separate cars if it makes sense logistically, or I have a changing tent you can change into right at the location! This can alleviate all of that stress and hassle!
Once they wrapped up their private vows, Kylee and Luke made their way to their rocky beach location in Acadia National Park to meet up with their loved ones. Together, they explored the shoreline and found the perfect spot to begin their ceremony.
Kylee and her dad shared a beautiful traditional moment as they walked down the stunning staircase toward the beach, bringing a sense of familiarity and emotion to their intimate day. From there, Kylee and Luke exchanged vows, said “I do,” and celebrated their marriage surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
After their heartfelt ceremony, we spent time capturing beautiful family portraits along the coast, preserving the joy and connection of the day against Acadia’s incredible scenery.
Kylee and Luke wanted their wedding day to end with a moment that felt completely them. After their intimate elopement ceremony, they weren’t ready for the adventure to be over. They dreamed of an epic ending to their day, something wild, fun, and unforgettable.
So they made their way into the beauty of Acadia National Park, still dressed in their wedding attire, and headed to a swimmable lake tucked among the landscape. With no rules to follow and no expectations to meet, they jumped right into the water together, laughing, soaking in the moment, and celebrating the start of their marriage in the most adventurous way possible.
Because that’s the magic of an elopement. It’s not about following a timeline or doing what’s expected. It’s about creating a day that feels like you. For Kylee and Luke, that meant ending their wedding day barefoot in the water, fully dressed, and completely present in one of the most unforgettable moments of their lives.
Your elopement should leave lasting memories, not a lasting impact. By following Leave No Trace principles, we can celebrate your love while protecting the places that made your day possible.
